I just found a note that included the name of the guide I fished with two years ago. I was book by Jim Kerr at Rain Coast and fished with Caleb Hitzfeld... he put Carleigh and I on several opportunities. One landed, two long distance releases, and Carleigh hooked a couple as well.

when I created this post a few weeks ago.. I failed to subscribe to the post. Consequently, I didn't receive all the responses that many of you posted until I came back to the forum recently. My apologies to all of you who responded and for my failure to get back to you...

Mike Dickson of Dickson Flyfishing is running a steelhead class on Saturday the 5th (http://dicksonflyfishing.blogspot.com/). I just registered and Mike said that he currently has two spaces left in the class.  If those spaces fill, he may look into bringing in another guide to provide additional spaces.  As of today, Mike is also open on Friday the 4th for a guided trip.  If anyone is interested in sharing a guide on the 4th, I might be interested.

We are bringing our boat.  Also I talked with Marianne Mitchell and she suggested Curtis Reed out of Waters West (in Port Angeles ) as a guide.  Checked on him (I was looking for Friday) He was booked Friday but had open Sat and Sunday.

Give Jeff Brazda a call or email (brazdasflyfishing.com). He is one of the top fly guides out there.

You could also talk with Jack Mitchel at the evening hatch or Johnny Boatino at  Troutwater.

Larry Scott (westsideguide.com) is one of the OP guides who I have fished with years ago. However, he does a lot of side drifting rather than fly fishing.

Some time ago I asked Jimmy LeMert at Patrick's Fly Shop for a recommendation and he suggested J.D. Love and Jim Kerr. You can Google their names.

Stephen Williams and I are planning to come up from Oregon to attend the OP outing. We would like to hire a guide for friday the 4th... We've contacted a guide I fished with two years ago, and they are booked. Anyone have any recommendations, or if anyone taking their own drift boat/raft and need two additional anglers, we'd work out something to share any expenses associated with the ride along. The outfitter i have used was Rain Coast Guides, but rather than take their potluck, I hope someone has a recommendation. Thanks...

I've never fished with them but have had good conversations with Curtis and Dave out of Waters West (fly shop) in Port Angeles. I have heard they run a good guiding program if you can't get in with Rain Coast (as you know, they're also good). Hope this helps.
