If you were distracted at the Annual Awards Banquet or did not purchase a copy of the "Year-in-Review 2015", Dana Botcher did an outstanding job of photo journalism in documenting the NFA's activities in 2015. The photography is professional quality and mixed with music to match. The video segment is a nice touch for the ending. There will be a loaner copy of the "Year-in-Review 2015" in the NFA Library for checking out.
Wayne Balsiger donated the book "Wyoming's Stream Macroinvertebrates" by Lusha M. Tronstad and Brian R. Barber. The book is autographed by Lusha who is Wayne's cousin. This guide identifies common invertebrates (insects) living in Wyoming's streams including photos and characteristics. There are even a few flies that imitate each insect order. There are adult emergence charts as well.
Wyoming contains the headwaters for the Missouri, Columbia and Colorado River Basins. Wyoming has streams and rivers that sustain world-class fisheries. While the emphasis is on Wyoming, the information on the invertebrates is common to all.
Here are a few titles for the upcoming Olympic Peninsula Outing in March 2016. You can get any of these books in your NFA Library at the meeting on January 21st.
