As part of Duwamish Alive! Fall 2017, Forterra and Green Tukwila Partnership will be planting and mulching along the Duwamish River.

Volunteer: Join NFA volunteers, friends, and neighbors at Duwamish Alive along the Duwamish Shoreline behind BECU in Tukwila!

After a summer of removing invasive plants at the Duwamish Shoreline, we will be planting native species along the river and spreading mulch to continue to bring this location back to its former glory! While you’re here, keep an eye out for otter, osprey and other wildlife making their home along the river’s edge. This is a great way to give back to your local community, and is also an awesome opportunity to meet some new faces, to get your hands dirty, and to get outside and connect with the Green-Duwamish River!

What to bring: Please dress for the weather because we will be working rain or shine! Wear boots or comfortable athletic shoes, work clothes, appropriate layers for rain and sun (including sunscreen). Volunteers should also bring a refillable water bottle; snacks and coffee will be provided.

Restoration training, tools and gloves will also be provided. No experience necessary, so make sure to bring along your friends, family, and neighbors!

Youth volunteers: If you are under 18 and attending the event without a parent or guardian, please come to the event with a Youth Waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Youth Waiver for Forterra Restoration Events can be found here.

The 2017 Auction and Holiday Party is Saturday, December 9th at Ivar's Salmon House, 401 NE Northlake Way (parking across the street) on Lake Union. This year you can make your reservations and buy raffle tickets on line at the club’s website. The deadline for reservations is Friday December 1st.

Social hour begins at 5:00 and dinner will be served at 6:00. We will have a delicious buffet dinner featuring salad, coho salmon, chicken marsala, flank steak, seasonal vegetables and dessert. For vegetarians, the main entrée will be penne pasta pomodoro. There will be a no-host bar (that means you pay for your own drinks).

Get your name tag, dinner card, raffle tickets, and bidder card at the check-in table. Proceed to the raffle tables and put your tickets in the raffle boxes (raffle tables close at 7:00). Also check out the items in the silent auction area. Don’t forget the bake sale table. Silent auction and bake sale bids are made by writing your bidder number and bid amount down on the sheet with each item. Note the rules concerning minimum starting bids and each additional bid.

The Awards Ceremony begins at 7:00 with the President’s Opening Remarks. Then the Service, Merit, and Memorial awards are presented. The ceremony ends just before 8:00, leaving enough time for a last minute bid at the Silent Auction tables (the tables close at 8:00).

Ivar's makes for a wonderful venue to come together and celebrate our club's accomplishments in conservation and education. Join us for our annual silent auction, raffle, awards and holiday party! See new friends and old. Try your luck in our amazing raffles and be prepared to bid on our great auction items! We do take credit cards! Everyone is welcome!

This is our main revenue generation event for the year so step up and join in the fun while supporting your fly fishing club. Earlier is better, but those who snooze will lose! Note: To add guests, use the 'Add Guest' button at the bottom of the registration page.
